Your camp location and hunting area will depend on your outfitter and hunt of choice.  Accommodations vary between Base Camps and may be cabins or wall tents, which are equipped with beds and heaters.

ALASKA - YUKON MOOSE - Our areas have an abundance of Yukon/Alaska Moose and fantastic is about the best word to describe them. They are the largest in the world. Our success rate is 95 to 100 percent. Best hunted during the rut from September 10 to October 10 by boat or if a caribou, grizzly combo is wanted, by horse. Can also hunt post rut snowmobile in late October. These magnificent animals make for a very impressive trophy.

Black Bear - Black Bear may be taken on all fall hunts. Although the Yukon Black Bear is typically not as large as those found in other parts of Canada, they still make for a fine trophy.

Yukon Dall Sheep hunts.DALL SHEEP - The traditional horseback hunt has normally produced our biggest rams but at a lower success rate. The Dendale area where we use a four wheeler and then walk has more sheep and close to 100% success rate. Best hunted in August.

Depending on which outfitter you choose, Fannin Sheep or Stone Sheep may also be available. These sheep vary in color from a light gray to very dark stone. Sheep hunts are done at elevations of 4,000 to 7,000 feet. A legal Ram must be Full Curl or 8 years of age.

GRIZZLY - Grizzly can be found throughout the area, ranging anywhere from the riverbanks to the rocks of the sheep mountains. Grizzly are very unpredictable are therefore a hard won trophy. Spring hunts using jet boats and hiking give you the best success on big boars. These can be very physically demanding if you want to hike or very relaxing if you prefer just to float. Fall moose hunts give you the next best odds plus you will take a moose and or a caribou home.

LYNX, MARTIN, MINK, OTTER, WOLVERINE - All are fur bearing animals and we welcome you to come with us on our trap lines to get these animals. Can also be taken while on most winter wolf hunts. December is suggested for lynx while February and March are best for wolverine. Please note that this option is not offered by all of our outfitters. If you are interested, please make sure to discuss it with us in your Mountain Caribou hunts.contact with Four Star Adventures.

MOUNTAIN CARIBOU - We have an excellent population of Mountain Caribou. All of the herds in our areas produce tremendous trophies. The success rate is approximately 95%. You can hunt by horse, ATV and in late October by snowmobile. Combines well with goat, moose and grizzly. Can be taken on all hunts from the beginning of August through late September and late October.Mountain Goat hunts in the Yukon.

MOUNTAIN GOAT - Our Yukon Goats are the largest of the species due to being the most northern goat population. This also gives our August goats the hair quality of September goats further south. Most years we average around the 9½ inch mark with some over 10 and occasionally close to 11. All hunts are with horses. Sheep and caribou are the best add on animals. Best hunted mid August to early September.

WOLF - Nature's most efficient predator, a symbol of the wilderness and North America's hardest earned trophy. Wolves can be taken on all fall hunts but are best hunted in the winter. We offer a unique and exciting hunt for these beautiful trophies during February and March. Based out of the many cabins we have in the best moose wintering grounds and using a snowmobile for transportation, these are hunts you will never forget.
