Our Alberta Wolf Hunt Outfitter
A The Outfitter we use in Alberta for Wolf hunts started wrangling in 1991 in the Yukon territory and began guiding in 1992. He has since continued to guide full time in Alberta and the Yukon. He has hunted this area in Alberta for 17 years and has guided wolf hunts since 1996. Hunts are conducted from the Outfitters home in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, with hunters staying in their lodge enjoying country style home cooked meals.
About the Alberta Wolf Hunt
Wolves and coyotes are hunted over baited sites with heated blinds set up in advance. Tracking and calling of wolf packs is also effective when conditions are favorable.
Wolf hunts in Alberta, Canada.You will be picked up on Sunday afternoon at the Grande Prairie airport and driven out to the lodge, about 30 miles, where you can settle in, and enjoy a home cooked meal. The days start early with a hot breakfast, then its into the trucks and a drive out to your blind, or a day spent tracking and calling. Either a sack lunch is provided or else a trip back to the lodge for a quick bite to eat.

Therefore the land owners are more than happy to assist us and allow us to operate on their property.zExpect your shots to be 200 yards when sitting in a blind and closer when calling wolves or coyotes.
Temperatures and snow conditions can vary greatly from year to year, with average snow depth of 16 inches and average Alberta wolf hunts.temperature of 0° Fahrenheit. With the use of heated blinds, it is possible to hunt comfortably in the cold weather.
While in your blind the guides and your Outfitter will be out looking for sign and checking the other baits, making sure that all hunters are in the best location to have a successful hunt. There is not limit on the number of coyotes a hunter may take. All wolves and coyotes taken will be brought back to the lodge for skinning and salting.
Rifle Calibers
For coyote hunters, any of the popular varmint calibers work fine, form the 222 to the 6mm. For wolf, larger calibers are desired, due to the size and tenacity of the adults. Your favorite deer rifle will work just fine.
Bow Hunting
We have successfully guided bow hunters for both coyote and wolf. Although it is quite difficult, it is definitely worth the challenge. And calling a predator into bow range is and experience long remembered.
