Hunting Africa-South Africa-Bird Shooting Program

INTRODUCTION

Join us for a bird hunt of a lifetime! We are dedicated to providing world class bird hunting opportunities for the overseas hunter, based in different areas in South Africa. We offer unique and diverse bird hunts and warm hospitality. All our hunting takes place on exclusive private properties. We also specialize in plainsgame and photo safaris.

Enjoy the vibrant hospitality, culture and friendship of a by-gone colonial era. South Africa offers the greatest variety of species, approximately 18 species. All birds are wild and in their natural habitat - no pen bread birds. Our clients average at least 75 shots per day on Waterfowl and in excess of 150 shots per day on doves and pigeons.

Discerning sportsmen have the unique opportunity to experience the combination of professionalism, service and great bird hunting on offer.

South Africa is a year round tourist paradise offering a wide variety of attractions. These include photographic safaris to some private game lodges bordering the Kruger National Park, our golden beaches, magnificent mountain resorts, the wine country of our Cape Province and a visit to our beautiful mother city of Cape Town. Touring these locations can be combined with your Bird Hunting Safari either before or after your hunt.

WHEN?

JUNE / JULY (to be confirmed) - This coincides with harvesting and mid-winter being good weather for the dogs.

AREAS & ACCOMMODATIONS

Area #1 - North West Province - 1.5 hours from Johannesburg - tar road. Ranch land with sunflower and maize fields. Flat, dry grassveld areas with broken hiils. Camp consists of brick Chalets, on suite bathrooms and central Bar / Lounge area. This is on a Game Ranch, scenically situated on a small hill. Traditional South African meals will be served with wines form the Cape.

Area #2 - South East Transvaal / Mapumalanga Province- Scenic, mountainous and rolling hills area with wet lands and dams in low lying areas. Four hours form Johannesburg by tar road. Accommodations are in a guest house or traditional farmhouse filled with Oregon and yellow wood furniture and antiques. Consists of 3 bedrooms with separate bathrooms.

Area #3 = North Western Freestate - Waterfowling in swamped grassland area. Areas bordering the Bloemhof dam area, also flat grassveld and 4 hours from Johannesburg by tar road. Game Ranch - world renowned with either rustic tented camp or luxury lodge - both are available and can accommodate 10 people.
