If you are looking for the ultimate in wild pheasant hunting, your search is over. Northeastern South Dakota is home to the largest pheasant population on the continent and our Outfitters lodge is right in the heart of it. And if you are looking for a family atmosphere you're sure to enjoy the lodge as families are what we specialize in (hunters under age 18 hunt free). We want to provide an experience, not just a hunt. This is family owned and operated business, providing services to less than 150 people a year, in order to maintain an environment where guests can relax, get away from it all, and have a good time. Fabulous hunting experiences are not limited to pheasant either. We also offer outstanding hunts for ducks, geese, hare, coyote, grouse, dove, as well as amazing opportunities for archery hunting whitetail deer.

PHEASANT HUNT INFORMATION:

The South Dakota pheasant hunting season runs from mid-October through early January. Hunting begins at 12:00 noon and ends at sunset, October 15 through October 30 and begins at 10:00 am for the remainder of the season.

Our lodge is not a preserve and our guests hunt wild pheasants; we are subject to the state hunting laws and guidelines.

The limit is three (3) roosters per day.

A small game license is required to hunt pheasant. A non-resident license is valid for two periods of five consecutive days. The fee for this license is $110.00 for adults and $25.00 for youth (12-15). Licenses may be obtained through the South Dakota Fish and Parks Department either online at www.sdgfp.info or by calling 605-773-3485.

We recommend a #4 shot for pheasant, as it works well throughout the season. You must provide your own guns and ammunition
