Hunting Area
Hunting is done on a 38,000 acre Indian reserve. 1,800 acres has been purchased in the last 5 years. The terrain is mixed Parkland forest and farm land with rolling hills. Some sites over look the scenic Assiniboine valley. The land is broken up into areas of 160 to 2000 acres. This adds to the diversity of the terrain and also allows us to utilize the areas surrounding the Indian reserve land as well. Example, some reserve land borders wildlife lands where we can draw the deer out with bait.
Blinds have been placed on the edges of forested areas where the hunter can see into natural openings where bait has been placed for the deer.
Shooting distances vary from 150 to 200 yards but we stress that hunters practice and be comfortable with 300 yard shots.
