Muskox - Caribou Combination Hunt

We offer Musk Ox hunts out of two locations in Nunavut; Cambridge Bay and Gjoa Haven.

Our Outfitter located northwest of Cambridge Bay first started offering Muskox hunts in 1996. Our Arctic hunting lodge is on Merkely Lake and the area has some of the largest populations of Muskox in the north.

We also have another Outfitter based out of Gjoa Haven, where the famous Arctic explorer Roald Amoundson wintered when he first navigated the Northwest Passage. We offer Spring, Fall and Muskox, Caribou Combination hunts from this hunting location.

Barrenground Muskox - Caribou Combination Hunt:

Out of Gjoa Haven

There are some Central Canadian Barren Ground Caribou in the area. You may opt to buy a caribou tag on the fall hunt. If this is the case and the hunter shoots a caribou there will be a $1,000.00 kill fee.

Out of Cambridge Bay

For those willing to brave the harsh arctic winter we also offer Muskox and Caribou hunts in October and Muskox only hunts in March. Unlike our August hunt, very warm winter clothing is required. Use the following link for more information on Hunt Dates and Prices.
