Hunting Africa-Tanzania-General Information

  • The use of photographs or film taken on your safari by our staff may be used by the company for general purposes without further notice and without payment or permission.
  • We reserve the right to change an itinerary in the best interest of our clients.
  • We reserve the right to change any of the above conditions by giving written notice.
  • All countries Government fees are subject to change without notice.
  • It is the client's responsibility to obtain visas, health certificates, CITES import permits, or any other important documents that are required for your safari.
  • Clients may only hunt those species that are issued on their hunting permit. Please ensure you have specified well in advance your trophy priorities. Wildlife Authorities do impose restrictions on certain trophies requiring a minimum safari duration.
  • Trophy charges are applicable only to animals actually bagged or wounded and lost.
  • Payments of Game Fees must be settled in Cash at the end of your safari before leaving the respective country. (Cameroon in French Francs / other countries in US Dollars.)
  • Your trophies are our responsibility until we hand them to the Airline or Taxidermy accompanied by all documents required by the relevant governments. We do not have insurance for your trophies after it is delivered to the respective shipping agent or taxidermy.
  • Safaris start and end in Arusha. Travel days between hunting areas are considered hunting days.
  • A detailed questionnaire form will be sent to you on receipt of your deposit. (Information required: Personal info, valid visa & passport details photocopied, 2 x passport pictures, Rifle information, flight details, priority list of species and food & drink preferences. Special food and drink requirements will be catered for as far as possible with advance notification. You will also be asked to sign an indemnity before arriving in Arusha.
  • We hunt from light until dark, with pre-packed lunch boxes occasionally returning to camp for lunch. Main meals are normally 3 course with Breakfast prepared to order. Cocktails and snacks are standard practice around a blazing campfire.
  • We employ only ethical hunting methods (fair chase, no night hunting) and we use appropriate equipment. Camouflage is illegal in Tanzania as well as automatic or semi-automatic guns, hand-guns and bow hunting.
  • Hunting is at a fast pace - be physically and mentally prepared.
  • Practice shooting instinctively (clay pigeons) and also practice using shooting sticks & trees as rests.
  • Photographic safaris are essential to experience with your families either before or after your hunting safari. Itineraries can be arranged to suit your fancies. East Africa boasts world renowned attractions:
    a. Mount Kilimanjaro (19,600 feet, now capped). Africa's highest mountain.
    b. Serengeti National Park - Greatest concentration of game in the world (4 million) which still migrate annually.
    c. Ngorogoro Crater - 8th wonder of the world & 2nd largest extinct crater in the world.
    d. Lake Victoria - the second biggest lake in the world.
    e. The Great Rift Valley & Oldivai Gorge (the cradle of mankind where modern man may have originated ?).
    f. Tribal Culture and preserved traditions (120 tribes including the Masai).
    g. Selous Game Reserve - The biggest Game Sanctuary in all Africa."
    h. Zanzibar or Mafia Island - relax on the coral beaches of the Indian Ocean.
    i. Visit the world's only producer of Tanzanite or go curio shopping.

All in all, Tanzania's diversity and beauty of scenery and game will leave you speechless!
