GENERAL INFORMATION

You must prepay for all trophy fees for animals you intend to hunt before your safari.
These fees are not refundable. Trophy Fees must be paid 60 days prior to safari starting date
All licenses are subject to EWCO Quotas.
Game license fees are set at the sole discretion of the Ethiopian Authorities and are subject to change without notice. No responsibility is accepted in case of any change.
A 10% surcharge applies on license issued for species hunted outside of our controlled hunting areas.
Day one of your safari is the day you leave Addis Ababa
Traveling time is included in your Safari dates.
Government Scout Fees are $15.00 per day, per scout (2 scouts).
A Safari will be considered a firm booking upon receipt of 50% of the daily rates.
The balance to be paid 90 days prior to the safari starting date.
There are no refunds what so ever on deposits of the daily rates if cancellation occurs within 120 days of the safari starting date.
If a cancellation occurs before 120 days of the safari starting date, deposits will be refunded (subject to a 10% service charge) only if a substitute hunter is found.
We advise that you and your property be fully covered by insurance for the duration of the hunt and in transit.
Insurance coverage is not provided in any part of your fees.
You will be met at the Addis Ababa airport and escorted through customs.
You may import an unlimited amount of foreign currency.
You must declare the amount of currency upon arrival which you should exchange to Ethiopian currency (Birr).
Travelers checks are recommended.
Your first and last nights in Ethiopia will be spent at a major hotel in Addis Ababa.
To enter Ethiopia, you are required to have in your possession: a Valid Passport, Ethiopian Tourist Entry Visa, and your Return Ticket.
Your full passport information, 4 passport photographs, and your exact flight itinerary must be provided to the outfitter at least 45 days before your arrival in Addis Ababa.
You need a Health Certificate showing current Yellow Fever vaccination. We also recommend a Cholera vaccination. You should also take Malaria preventative medication.
An import permit is required for every firearm ($200.00 per rifle). At least 45 days before your arrival in Addis Ababa, your outfitter will need the make, model, caliber and serial number of each firearm you will bring.
Maximum ammunition allowed is 120 rounds per firearm.
A .375 caliber rifle is a Game Department minimum to hunt any of the "big five" and hippo.

Ground Transportation to and from Addis Ababa airport.
Services of a professional hunter.
Ground transportation to all hunting destinations and in the field.
Safari camp accommodations.
Field preparation of all trophies and transportation to Addis Ababa.

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED

International airfare, domestic flights and charter flights.
Firearms import fees ($200.00 per rifle).
All hotel expenses in Addis Ababa (before, during and after the safari).
General Game License.
Supplementary Game Licenses and Controlled Hunting Area Fees.
Game Scout Fee.
Dipping and packing of Trophies.
Veterinarian and wildlife certification of Trophies.
Customs duty on fired ammunition.
Air freight of Trophies from Ethiopia to your Taxidermist.
Imported wines and alcoholic beverages.
Gratuities to staff and professional hunter.

PACKING, CRATING & DOCUMENTATION FOR EXPORT OF TROPHIES

Packing, crating and documentation for export of your trophies will be handled by the local taxidermy, who should be paid in Addis Ababa. This is from $500.00 - $1,400.00. All trophies in Ethiopia are processed through a government controlled taxidermy operation. The safari company relinquishes all responsibilities of trophies once they have been delivered to the taxidermist. However, we will do all we can do to expedite shipments.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

To enter Ethiopia, you are required to have in your possession:

A Valid Passport,
Ethiopian Tourist Entry Visa and
your Return Ticket.

The following must be provided to the Outfitter at least 45 days before your arrival in Addis Ababa:
