HUNTING DJANGARA
Known as Area 12. This one million acre concession adjoins the Presidential Park in the South and borders on the famous Aouk River in the North. The hunting area in Djangara is mainly woodland savannah with an elevation of between 500 - 600 ft. This is a prime Giant Eland area with Western Roan, Bohor Reedbuck, Buffalo, Harnessed Bushbuck and Lelwel Hartebeeest present, to name some of the species. |
The Djangara hunting area is well developed with bush tracks, giving access to the best hunting areas by vehicle. The airstrip is comfortably situated 5 km from camp. The Djangara River divides the area in two. The main hunting camp is situated on the banks of the Aouk, overlooking a floodplain in Chad. The Djangara hunting area is virtually Tsetse Fly free.
