AUSTRALIA HUNTING AREAS
|
Areas hunted are remote, exclusive and at most times provide hunters with the benefit of knowing they and their guides are the sole occupants of a 1000 square kilometer wilderness area. Access to the hunt concessions is by light aircraft from Darwin and thereafter by four wheel drive vehicles, specially modified and adapted to the rugged conditions. Satellite phone are a safety feature on expeditions.
If you visit the North-west Arnhemland concession, where we operate four licensed hunting areas under the auspices of the Northern Land Council, be prepared to capture on film some of the hundreds of species of bird life that visits the area annually along with both game and protected animals. In this magnificent, rugged wilderness of tropical Australia's Top End, you will see the huge, estuarine or saltwater crocodile, a prehistoric survivor and fearsome modern-day predator which inhabits the waterways and coastline of the region. Visit ancient Aboriginal rock art site and step back in time 55,000 years. These are just some of the features of this unique and pristine wilderness in Australia's tropical north.
Apart from the game animals, Arnhemland supports an amazing variety of fascinating wildlife. Kangaroos and wallabies abound, fearsome saltwater crocodiles patrol the rivers, dingos prowl the savannah, and the abundant bird life fills the air with songs and chatter.

Some of the more remote sections of our safari are hunted from fly camps established along scenic water courses. The area provides an opportunity to photograph the exquisite scenery and abundant wildlife of Arnhemland and to try your hand at fishing seldom fished remote rivers to hook the famous Top End Barramundi.

Queensland is essentially a state of great plains which merge into high country of sharper relief to the east and north-west. To the north, the country falls gradually to meet the coastal plain which reaches the Gulf of Carpentaria as a broad tract of salt flats. The far north-west is occupied by a rugged uplands region, rich in minerals. Axis hunting is conducted in Queensland on large private properties, the area has been long recognized for maintaining the largest huntable herds of Axis Deer in the South Pacific region.

Sambar are on of the most difficult of the deer species to hunt, living in very rough mountain country. The hunter needs to aim to be as fit as possible to be able to hunt Sambar. The arrival point of these hunts is Melbourne, Victoria. From this same arrival point we also conduct Game Ranch Hunts. These ranches produce excellent trophies and provide the hunter with limited time the opportunity to hunt and shoot a wide range of quality trophies. The main hunting property is 100 square miles. Some of the smaller game ranches also provide numerous game and an excellent standard of trophies.
