Adjacent to world-famous Kodiak Island, Afognak Island is "tops" for anyone seeking Alaska's finest combination destination. With both fresh & saltwater fishing PLUS a variety & abundance of wildlife PLUS some of the classiest accommodations, this has been a prized retreat since 1974 for photographers (professional & amateur), sport-fishermen, hunters and adventurous vacationers. It's wholesomeness is popular with singles, couples, families and business groups alike, with many repeat & referred guests throughout the decades. Your Outfitter/Guide on Afognak Island has been living / hunting in and around Seal Bay since 1964 so he know the 50-mile radius of north and east Afognak Island better than anyone. He is an expert hunter, guide and all 'round woodsman / boats-man. His son was born, raised and schooled in the wilderness of northeast Afognak Island and has learned well from his father.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
Other than in season hunting, we offer plenty to keep you busy. Outside of viewing wildlife & getting your fill of fishing, you can go hiking through this "enchanted forest" or along beaches you'll have to yourself, go octopus-hunting, visit archeological site OR just dig your bare feet into some long sandy beaches & relax in the sun. Each are enjoyed without the bother of any other people except that handful who are at our lodge.
